Dr. Corry van der Ende got her first Boxer as a four and a half year old  retired show dog that needed a home. “I have never been without a dog from the time I was born but “Babe” was very special and enamoured  me to the breed.

With “Babe” aging, I purchased my first Boxer puppy from a client.  It was this puppy that introduced me to the “sense of humour” the breed is known for.  This resulted in some serious obedience training and eventually a Utility Degree.  A championship title at 18 months of age came secondarily to a CD at 14 months and a CDX shortly thereafter for Ch. Donelle’s Precious Jewel U.D.  “Julie” was bred once and produced two,  champions in that litter.

The Boxjoy kennel had begun and Dr. Corry’s special interest in canine reproduction began. Over the last 20-25 years, Boxjoy kennels has produced 13 litters which resulted in 12 champions.

In 1996 frozen semen was imported from the Boxerhaven kennel in Norway which produced two litters one of which produced Ch Boxjoy’s First Lady of Norway who was then bred to frozen semen from Ch Bayview Strides Ahead, California on her first breeding and frozen semen from Ch. Berlane’s High Voltage. Alberta on her second breeding. These breedings resulted in 10 and 9 pups respectively.
